Khaksar Movement

This movement was started as a reform movement by Inayatullah Khan Mashriqi.

Inayatullah Khan was born in Amritsar and educated in both India (Lahore) and United Kingdom (then Britain).

The movement was for the freedom of India  and to end the British Rule.  The movement focused on Islamic principles and stressed upon the need for reform in the existing Islamic ways.

The movement was organized through squad of volunteers in local areas.

The movement was also against sectarianism and caste system which had made inroads into the Muslim Community.

Daily physical exercise or parade and social service were the mode of action for the movement.
