Mere ek dost ne passes arrange kiye and we both went there to enjoy the show.He came late but when he started it was like unhone bas madhosh kar diya apni aawaz se.Har ek ghazal khatam hone pe lagta ki ama miyan itni jaldi kyon khatam ho gayi.
But i was still not satisfied because i wanted to hear my favourite ghazal sung by him which i liked the most and the day before i took a printout to learn the lines.He has sung many beautiful ghazals but my favourite is "Chupke Chupke".
But in the mid way he started this after a huge public request.he first sang this ghazal in 1974 if i am not wrong and from that time onwards it is like the most famous ghazal.B.R Chopra used this in his film "Nikah".
Then he started singing "har ek baat pe kehte ho tum ki tu kya hai;tumhi batao ye andaze guftagu kya hai." ye kehte huye ki delhi me aaye hai to ek ghazal Ghalib ki bhi suna di jaaye..
The event was at "Purana Qila" and jab wo shaam khatam huyi jiske darmiyan unhone "aawargi...""hum tere shahar me.." jaisi kuch behtareen ghazalen pesh ki hume badi khushi huyi ki for the first time i saw him.........
This was one of the most memorable day of my life........
