Walmart vs Kirana Store

Why Walmart will not replace local Kirana Stores ?

1. For buying milk,eggs and bread each morning, you will go to the corner's Uncle Ji shop only and not to the Walmart.
2. Walmart will never give you items on credit as against the corner's Uncle Ji shop because they don't know you.

What are the Benefit for Consumer of Walmart?

1. I can go and see the items live, feel them and then can buy them.
2. There is a variety of items in Walmart store for which the the Uncle Ji will reply nahi hai beta! if you ask.
3. You can buy your monthly grocery from walmart but you will not go there to buy vegetables daily simply because it is too far and you won't burn your fuel on transportation.

So, why deprive the consumer the benefit of FDI in retail. I want to go and buy items from the Walmart store once it gets opened.

And mind you I am as much an AAM AADMI as the Sabji Wala who comes selling vegetable at my doorstep or the Kirana waala Uncle Ji.
