Constitution (SC) Order 1950

In 3 different pending petitions before the Supreme Court, the petitioners have challenged para 3 of the Constitution (SC) Order 1950 saying that a person not professing the Hindu, Sikh or Buddhist faith cannot be included in the list of Scheduled Castes.

why not scrap this order or make it religion neutral ?

Any takers?

(The Dalits who get converted to Christianity automatically get excluded from the list of SC despite being in the same economic condition and profession. Sachar Committee has reiterated that the condition of some Muslims is poor than Dalits. Then why are we selective?)

Is this not minority appeasement ?
